not bumping into people everywhere I go; yet running into people I know
ice-cream truck music played by an ice-cream truck instead of a garbage truck
public trash cans (admission: their streets are Disneyland clean + ours are inexcusably littered)
sidewalks meant for walking (w/out worrying about getting hit by scooters or tripping on insanely unsafe "transitions" or no sidewalk at all + worrying about frayed metal or wood sticking out threatening to scrape your calve.)
toilets that flush properly
toilets with seats vs. toilets flush to the floor
napkins instead if toilet paper (tissue) on restaurant tables
public restrooms w/ TP in the stall
speaking the same language as doctors
taking the dogs to the Arroyo
Cal-Tech campus strolls
Beacon's beach tide-pooling
